Qualification : Should have a PhD with First Class at the preceeding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years of Teaching / Industrial / Research Experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer / Senior Design Engineer.


Professor

Salary : Rs.37,400 - 67,000 (PB-4) with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 10,500. Initial pay in the Pay Band will be Rs. 48,000 and Total Emoluments Rs. 1,07,650.
Qualification : Should have a PhD with First Class at the preceeding degree with very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years of experience of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in IITs, IISc, IIMs, NITIE and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign Institution / Institutions of comparable standards as may be so decided by the Institute.

Age : Preferably below 35 years for the post of Assistant Professor.
Reservations : Without any compromise on qualifications, experience and competence, reservation as per Govt. of India rules will be applicable. Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are especially encouraged to apply.

K-TET is the examination to assess the eligibility of teacher candidates for Lower Primary, Upper Primary and High School Classes in Kerala.Separate test will be conducted to select teachers for Category I (Lower Primary classes), Category II (Upper Primary classes) and Category III (High School classes).

The conduct of the examination is entrusted with Pareeksha Bhavan, Kerala. A prospectus for the examination is made available in the website of Pareeksha Bhavan (www.keralapareekshabhavan.in). PG Centralised Allotment Process 

Applications are invited for admission to the Post Graduate Programmes in the affiliated Arts & Science Colleges and Constituent Colleges owned and run by the University for the academic year 2012-13 through Centralised Allotment Process except the PG programmes under the faculty of Fine Arts and those PG Programmes the admission for which is based on entrance examinations.

Details of seats that come under the ambit of Centralised Allotment Process:

i. Govt. Colleges: Total seats available in government colleges
ii. Aided Colleges: Open quota seats, seats earmarked for SC/ST candidates
iii. Unaided Colleges/ Unaided Programmes conducted in Aided Colleges: 50% of the
total seats including seats reserved for SC/ST and SEBC
iv. Constituent Colleges owned and run by the University: 90% of the total seats
including seats reserved for SC/ST and SEBC. 
The remaining seats under community quota (Aided Colleges only)/management quota (Aided and Unaided Colleges and Unaided Programmes conducted in Aided Colleges)/sports and cultural quota (all affiliated Colleges) and Persons with Disabilities category (PD) (all affiliated colleges),
NRI/staff quota (constituent colleges only) shall be filled by institutions concerned and report the same to the University before the commencement of trial allotment. The above categories can also apply in CAP to be considered in the general allotment.


How and When to Apply:
There is only a single application form for applying for admission to all the P.G. Degree Programmes except to those mentioned above in various affiliated colleges. If a candidate submits more than one application his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled.

Steps for Registering Online:
• Follow the online instructions and fill in the minimum personal details required. The
password created by the candidate should not be revealed to others who may misuse
them. This may result in tampering of the options and the University will not be
responsible for any such eventuality.
• Generate a Chalan print out. The Chalan bears an ‘Application number’. The application
number will have to be remembered by the candidate for all future online and offline
operations.
• Approach the nearest SBT branch enlisted in the CAP portal along with the Chalan print
out and remit the required fee.
• Collect the sealed Chalan copies from bank (Student copy and University copy). Only after
completing this step, will the Application Number and password get activated.
• Go to the login Panel in MGU CAP Web Portal and Use the activated Application
Number as user name and previously used password for Login.
• Fill the Application form with the remaining personal details, academic eligibility and the
options.
• Verify with the relevant documents and confirm the details entered online.
• Take the print out of filled up application for final submission to the University.
Submit the signed application along with copies of the necessary documents to Deputy
Registrar (Acad – I), MG University, PD Hills, Kottayam, PIN: 686560 by post or in
person.
